Compared to the 2021 & 2022, current year is recording significant improvement in tourist arrivals and receipting workers remittances. 524,486 number of tourists have been arrived to Sri Lanka as at 31st May 2023 with total earning from them USD 827 Million.
Total inflows from the workers remittances as at 31st May 2023 is USD 2,346 Million with 75.7% recorded change compared to the 2022. All together in 2023, Sri Lanka has received USD 3,200 million from these two sectors recording USD 1,300 million increase. These improvements greatly help to increase the foreign reserves and release the import restrictions up to some extent.
2021 සහ 2022 හා සසඳන විට, වත්මන් වර්ෂය සංචාරක පැමිණීම්වල සහ ශ්‍රමිකයන්ගේ ප්‍රේෂණවල සැලකිය යුතු දියුණුවක් වාර්තා කරයි. 2023 මැයි 31 වන දින වන විට සංචාරකයින් 524,486 ක් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට පැමිණ ඇති අතර ඔවුන්ගෙන් මුළු ආදායම ඩොලර් මිලියන 827 කි.
2023 මැයි 31 වන දිනට ශ්‍රමිකයන්ගේ ප්‍රේෂණ වලින් රටට ලැබෙන මුළු ගලා ඒම ඩොලර් මිලියන 2,346ක් වන අතර 2022ට සාපේක්ෂව 75.7%ක වාර්තාගත වෙනසක් ඇත. මේ සියල්ල එක්ව 2023 දී මෙම අංශ දෙකෙන් ඩොලර් මිලියන 3,200ක් ලැබී ඇති අතර එය ඩොලර් මිලියන 1,300ක වැඩිවීමක් වාර්තා කරයි. මෙම තත්ත්වයන් විදේශ සංචිත ඉහළ නැංවීමට සහ ආනයන සීමාවන් යම් ප්‍රමාණයකට ලිහිල් කිරීමට බෙහෙවින් ඉවහල් වේ.
