When focusing on the resident status of Sri Lankans, it has recorded more than 80% in the previous year. But when it comes to the 3rd quarter of 2021, there’s a slight negative growth. But the purchases done by dual citizens don’t show any growth or a decline compared to the previous year. The number of foreigners who purchased the properties has been raised gradually but it doesn’t show any higher percentage.
Most of the residents have purchased the properties for the purpose of immediate living and it has increased in a low percentage compared to the last year. 30% has purchased the property for the purpose of future living and when it comes to the 3rd quarter of 2021, it shows a decline of nearly 10%. 5% of growth in the 3rd quarter of 2021 can be observed in the investments comparatively. Nearly 10% which recorded for the rent purpose in the last year shows around 0.1% of growth.
