Trincomalee Factory
The Trincomalee factory which is located in the highly strategic Trincomalee harbor of Sri Lanka was completed in 1980 and was one of the world’s largest flour mill under one roof at the time. This completely self-contained factory with a daily milling capacity of 3,650MT of wheat provides facilities for loading and unloading of wheat grain, flour and by-products, directly on to and from the ships docking at the wharf/jetty.

The extended and upgraded jetty can now berth up to 100,000 MT of “Cape-size” bulk carriers. The newly completed inner, multi-purpose wharf can handle containerized vessels which help in increasing South Asian trade. Its fleet of prime movers was ready to be deployed for island wide distribution at any given time. A modern transport network serves the fully-integrated mill; with road, rail and sea access.

Furthermore, within the well situated and landscaped complex are residences, a clubhouse, clinic and other amenities for our employees. The factory also hosts the latest R&D facilities, well trained personnel and expertise to test wheat, flour and end products.

The plant has successfully received the ISO9001:2000 and ISO22000:2005 awards for its excellence in quality and standards.
