Ecowave (Guarantee) Limited Claimed

Ecowave Spice products are grown, processed, and packed naturally and under hygienic conditions.

Ecowave Spices

Ecowave (Guarantee) Limited was incorporated in June 2012 as a Social Enterprise that strongly applies commercial strategies to maximize social and environmental impacts This includes engaging with sustainable agricultural value chain development and promoting responsible tourism with a focus on sustainable consumption and production, and the people, planet, profit business model.

The Ecowave Spice Factory was established in 2017 in order to produce high quality products and provide high-end market opportunities to farmers. This became possible through the collaboration and support of the Italian NGO ICEI, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and through a matching grant received by Ecowave from USAID’s Vega Biz+ Project. More recently a collaboration with the private company Soul Spice funded by GIZ came forward to guide us to meet quality requirements to access high-end European markets.

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

“Doing Good Doing Green”

With our motto “Doing Good Doing Green “, we are committed to promote sustainable production and consumption patterns. The global community needs to adopt different strategies to mitigate the many challenges we currently face, such as climate change, pandemics, economic crisis and, at the same time, to fulfill the needs of future generations.

Sustainable production refers to the supply side: We focus on improving environmental performance/sustainable practices in key economic sectors, such as agriculture and tourism.

Sustainable consumption addresses the demand side: We focus on influencing consumers’ behavior towards more sustainable choices, stressing that goods and services are required to meet basic standards to improve quality of life – such as food and drinks, health, shelter, clothing and leisure.

Being a Social Enterprise, Ecowave has a clear commitment about what it does with its profits: those are reinvested to further the social mission and to enhance the social impact – we want people to be brought out of poverty, to acquire new skills; we wish new jobs being created, pollution diminished, better food to be consumed. Agriculture, for us, is not “business as usual”.
